Provincial tennis roundup: Penn, Saint Joseph procure elimination round succeeds at LaPorte

There were no curve balls in the elimination rounds of the young men tennis provincial at LaPorte Tuesday evening.

No. 13 Saint Joseph and Penn each took care of their adversaries to set up a conflict of the space’s two best groups Wednesday night in the finale.

The Indians blanked Chesterton 5-0, while the Kingsmen bested have LaPorte 4-1 in real life at Kesling Park.

Holy person Joseph (17-1) will confront Penn (13-6) back at Kesling Park Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. EDT for the territorial title. The victor advances to the Culver Academy Semistate Saturday for an early afternoon match.

Bremen will play for another provincial title. The reigning champ and No. 27 Lions beat have and No. 21 Culver Academies 3-2 in the elimination rounds. Bremen will confront Peru for the provincial title. Peru beat Columbia City 4-1 in elimination round play.
